Credicorp Ltd. : announces the appointment of Deputy Chief Executive Officer at BCP
Lima, PERU, September 28th, 2017 - Credicorp announces that BCP's Board of Directors unanimously resolved, at its meeting held on Wednesday, September 27th, 2017, the following:
1. To create the position of Deputy Chief Executive Officer at BCP, appointing to such position Mr. Gianfranco Ferrari de las Casas.
2. To appoint Mr. Percy Urteaga Crovetto as Head of Retail Banking & Wealth Management. Mr. Urteaga shall report directly to the Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Ferrari.
3. The above mentioned resolutions shall be effective as from October 1, 2017.
Mr. Gianfranco Ferrari has worked at Credicorp since 1995. Mr. Ferrari has an extensive and diverse experience after holding strategic roles such as Head of Corporate Banking & Corporate Finance, Chief Executive Officer of BCP Bolivia (2005-2008) and Retail Banking & Wealth Management Officer at BCP. He led the acquisition of Edyficar in 2009 and of Mibanco in 2014. In 2015, he started leading the Digital Transformation Strategy. He has also been a member of Prima AFP's Board of Directors since 2008, and the Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors at Mibanco. Mr. Ferrari holds a degree in Business Administration from Universidad del Pacifico, and has a Master's Degree from Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University.
Mr. Percy Urteaga has worked at Credicorp since 1998, holding various positions such as Head of Strategic Planning & Business Development of Wholesale Banking at BCP, Chief Financial Officer of BCP Bolivia, and Head of Strategic Planning of Retail Banking at BCP. In 2012 he was appointed as Vice-Chairman of Edyficar's Board of Directors, and in 2014 he became the Chief Executive Officer of Mibanco He also serves as the Vice-Chairman of the Board of the Association of Microlending Companies of Peru (Asomif). Mr. Urteaga holds a degree in Civil Engineering from Universidad Nacional de Ingenieria, and has an MBA degree from IESE Business School, Universidad de Navarra.
